WHAT TO EXPECT FROM WORKING WITH ME
Booking in
Booking in is easy. We simply add your due date to my calendar and the actual session date is sorted, at a time to suit you, once baby has arrived.
I recommend booking after your 20 week scan but if you're reading this and baby is already here. Please don't worry. I photograph older babies at home too! Book your phone chat with me now {click here} to check my availability.
Pre-session Preparation
Things are getting exciting now! Before baby arrives I send you some info with advice on planning clothing and how to prepare your home for your session. Then, i'll wait for you to let me know when baby has arrived and we book in your shoot. I'll phone to check in with you and your baby just before we meet, to finalise any session details. It also gives you the chance to ask questions or share any concerns or worries.
The Session Day
My sessions are very relaxed, never rushed. I work with you and your baby at their pace, and guide you all along the way. It's about team work and the images that we create together will have you tingling in awe every time you look back at them.
After Shoot Service
When I create a set of images for a family I'm thinking about the home they are going into. I have a thorough after shoot service which includes: a private online gallery system, to browse, from the comfort of your home. I'm then on hand to help you create beautiful wall art pieces, and, I have a dedicated Album designer who creates luxurious hand made albums.

Kia Ora, I’m Sarah Angel, a friendly and relaxed Kiwi, settled on the Surrey / Hampshire border in Farnham, mum of two boys and your dedicated family photographer.
Inviting a photographer into your home so soon after giving birth is a really big deal. It's a delicate time. So it's important to choose someone whose got your back! Whether it's your first baby or you're welcoming a new sibling, this new phase in your lives as parents, with a new precious life, is a physical and emotional whirlwind experience.
I pride myself in being a mum with a sensitive heart and a photographer with a caring smile and a sensitive eye. Not just for taking endearingly great pictures, but I let you be yourselves, knowing when to direct you and when to let magical moments unfold naturally. ....and being sensitive enough to know when to give you some quiet space too!
When I'm not photographing families, you are likely to find me immersed in a baking challenge or planning our next family adventure (big or small). Most recently I've become a running convert! I run listening to my favourite old house tunes and never imagined pounding the pavement would happily replace my clubbing years!

FAQ's
Q: Where can the session take place?
A: I Photograph you in your home environment where you get to relax and be yourself. I travel to you for free within a 15 mile radius of Farnham, Surrey GU9. I also travel further afield to some London areas and into South Hampshire for a small additional travel fee.
Q: What is the newborn stage and why have photo's taken then?
A: The Newborn baby phase lasts for only 8 - 12 weeks however the most ideal time to capture a newborn is between 5 and 21 days old. At this early age their features are particularly delicate, they are not fully aware of their surroundings and are very sleepy. It's also a special time when you are at home together, adjusting to life as parents with your new baby.
Q: What if my baby is past the newborn stage?
A: That is absolutely fine. I photograph babies of all ages with their family, at home and in outdoor locations. We will still achieve beautiful images of your baby, they will simply be a little older and less sleepy/curled up.
Q: Our house isn't as nice/tidy/light as the ones pictured here, will our photographs still look like these?
A: Beautiful portraits of you and your family are possible in any home situation. What matters more than an ideal home is a small quiet clutter free space and some window light...then leave the rest to me. I can creat beautiful newborn photographs for families in small London flats, during home renovation projects and in the corner of one room!
