It was a beautiful sunny day for this summer family photo shoot in Frensham Surrey, taken a few summers ago now. (Yes, I’m a little behind on sharing previous sessions here on my blog!)
These two gorgeous boys were full of energy on the day, keeping me on my toes as we dashed in and around the trees and generally had a really fun time finding little frogs on the forest floor and playing in the sand at Frensham ponds. What an idilic place for wonderful childhood family memories!
This summer feels different to most due to the current social distancing measures.
If this time has taught me anything it has taught me to cherish our family time outdoors. I don’t want this to sound like a cliche. But, in spite of haing to manage juggling work and home schooling, making time to get outside in the fresh air each day has become our number one family priority.
Over the last few months, the time we have spent outside together, on our daily outing for exercise, has become our most favourite time of the day together.
I know a great deal of the families I speak with have felt the same.
Most of us won’t be heading away for big summer holidays this year and weekend sporting clubs are still on hold too.
As we start to move out of lock down, what better way to mark this time and increased closeness, than by booking in that family photography session you’ve always wanted, in your favourite outdoor space.
