1 - 1 Workshop Training
Turn using your SLR camera into child’s play!
Join me for a fun 3 hour session in my home studio here in South Farnham, Surrey, 1-1.
This is a jargon free relaxed and fun session designed to help you take your camera off auto and achieve creative portraits of your children or nearest and dearest. Contact me for availability.

With 20 years experience as a secondary school Fine Art and Photography teacher and 11 years in business as a professional family photographer I am looking forward to teaching you how to become more confident with your Digital SLR camera.
Learn to take fun and captivating portraits of your children.

WE will COVER:
- taking your camera off auto mode and get to know some basic manual settings.
- understand how to create sharp in focus portraits with lovely soft backgrounds.
- we will talk about some of my favourite lenses for children’s portrait photography
- I will talk to you about different and challenging outdoor and indoor lighting scenario’s and different ways to overcome them.
- I will share some of my favourite tips on how to get your child to engage with you in front of the camera.
- we will cover the basics of composition.
- there will be time on the day to play with your camera’s and try out your camera settings as well as time to chat!

A little bit about my photography training background:
Prior to starting my business as a professional family and newborn photographer I trained and worked as a Fine Art and Photography teacher.
I worked in high schools both here in the UK and in New Zealand. I taught Art and Design to KS3 students, GCSE Fine Art, GCSE Art and Design and GCSE Photography, 6th form Photography and 6th form Fine Art.
During my teaching career I have set photography up in three different schools and was invited to design and lead a photography teachers conference in my very early years of teaching back in New Zealand.
I do believe photography is a subject that everyone can enjoy and relate too. It is a wonderfully creative language that can be further unlocked by understanding a few key skills. Understand how to find the ideal light, how to position your subject in that light and how to work out all of those fiddly little dials on your camera!
