Hello December ……. you are finally here and you are the last month of the year so lets make it extra special!
This December I am starting my 2016 reflection early as we build up to the 2017 New Year. Expect to see extra posts summing up some of the beautiful sessions that have taken place throughout this year.
If you are following me over on Facebook, I will soon be starting my ’12 days of Christmas cheer’, posting a special image every day for 12 days, in the build up to Christmas.
I will be delving back into the archives to:
- pull out some very special festive images from ‘Christmas Past’ – both from Sarah Angel Photography headquarters and beyond;
- you will get to see some of my all time favourite family, baby and newborn portraits from 2016, including Farnham family sessions;
- you may even get to see some brief glimpses into Christmas time here in the Angel household!
Hopefully these images will add a bit of extra warmth to your day and make you smile. Pop over to my page and join in the fun each day by commenting on and sharing your favourite images.
Are you writing Christmas cards this year?
Writing the family Christmas card at the start of advent always feels like a great way to reflect back on the year and think about everything we have achieved individually and together as a family. However (and you might be able to relate to this), I really struggled to remember everything we did and achieved this year! It seems that the baby brain effect that so many of us Mums complain about has actually stayed with me as our children grow up.
I was really surprised at how many little and big events I had forgotten! So I ended up canvasing the rest of the family for their memories of our year together during Sunday lunch. Then late into the evening on Sunday night I was trolling back through Facebook posts, phone snaps and some of our online and printed family photography albums to gather up all the little details that made our year so special. So this years Christmas card efforts got me thinking about just how important it is to record and collect our family memories, in lots of different ways.
As well as the family Christmas card I have put together a very special thank you card for my past and present clients. You are what makes my photography business tick, so a very very big thank you, to all of you, for a very enjoyable year photographing all of you. Keep an eye out for it amidst your Christmas post.
