Children’s outdoor photography in Farnham Surrey { 12 Images of Christmas Day 4 }

If you are reading this and you have had a session with me this year or in the past you will know that as well as family and newborn sessions, I will always offer a children’s outdoor photography in Farnham Surrey, Hampshire or London. Sometimes parents just want to sit back and enjoy having their children photographed.

If I have photographed your children or indeed your whole family, over the past few years, then chances are you will be getting a Christmas card through your door from me in the next few days. Hooray!  It is just one way that I like to say thank you to my clients at the end of each year.

Children’s on location outdoor Christmas session

Every year my Christmas card session is very much a personal project.  It is an opportunity for me to have a play, try something new or a bit different, or to show off and practice some new skills.

If you have been following my 12 days of Christmas posts, you will already have read day one, where I wrote about my 2015 Christmas card and how much I value the Christmas card writing tradition. If you missed this then you can see it here.

This year I thought it would be fantastic to ask our friend Sydney to haul a big Christmas tree, carry some oversized parcels, post some letters and just generally be his own very cheerful and handsome self ……. and very happily he agreed to do it all! He really is a Christmas star!

I had a lot of fun decorating this lovely old Farnham post box which is just down the road from us. I really hoped it wasn’t against any Royal Mail rules to not decorate or dress a post box so I carefully made sure our session was well before postal collection time!

The post box is very close to our home and office studio so when I popped back to the house to grab a coffee, before Sidney arrived, it was really fun to look out at the post box from our kitchen window and see passers by doing a ‘double-take’ at the ‘dressed up’ post box.
