Family Adventures in The New Forest
last week we headed down to The New Forest for a family break away with Nai Nai and Papa (grandma and grandad). I will have more to post at the end of this week, including a bit about the 3 generations of photographers in our family. As a specialist children and family photographer I really enjoyed having a bit of time to photograph my own boys (and the rest of the family!) and set some new personal challenges by exploring some very different types of light. Winter light, whilst very limited, has some great qualities for generating some very expressive qualities in an image. These two shots were taken at the very end of the day, well past the golden hour and just before we made a very quick exit out of the forest and back to the hotel for hot baths and tea. The last part of our walk out of the forest and back to the car was accompanied by the sounds of a Tawny Owl and it was near pitch dark by the time we were driving back to the hotel. It was a great adventure ….. and this was day one. More to come in a few days time.
